Emerging from Lock-down

Following recent government announcements, many businesses are starting to prepare to re-open their doors. Hurrah I hear you cry! We are all thankful that we are starting to slowly return to some form of the 'new normal'.

Like most private venues, we have been extremely fortunate to be able to stay proactive throughout the lock-down period and have had an unprecedented influx of couples who are continuing to plan for their forthcoming weddings. Our priority though has been, of course, our existing wedding couples who had planned to be getting married at Minley this year and sadly have had to postpone.

Thankfully, we have been in regular communication with all our wonderful couples, available on the phone should they wish to call to check alternative dates or just vent their frustrations. Although hugely disappointed, most have remained positive and open-minded that when they do eventually marry, it is likely not going to be the wedding they had imagined.

Due to the sheer uncertainty as to when we would be able to welcome our weddings again we have agreed date changes at no extra charge. Allowing couples to move their celebrations within 12 months of their original date, with no fees regardless of peak dates or annual rate increases. Ultimately, we want all our weddings to have the celebration they had dreamed of, with as many guests and as few restrictions as possible.

We are continuously looking at ways to improve and alter our offering to incorporate the new guidelines and social distancing rules. Most venues won’t open until they can be sure to provide all the measures to keep couples and their guests, and staff as safe as is reasonable, so expectations are for drastically reduced guest numbers and having a more 'outdoor' celebration. Thankfully this is something that we have plenty of, many beautiful and versatile open spaces.

We are delighted that as of 4th June we are recommencing our personal tours of the estate and are taking bookings now for socially distanced consultations. To be mindful of the spread of the virus and limit our exposure, and for ease of movement around areas allowing for the 2m distance, we are restricting our meetings to a maximum of two at any one time, and apologise if this should cause any inconvenience.

Should parents wish to visit with you, we would ask that we see them separately either on another day or immediately after your appointment. At this time also, there will be no access to toilets or hand-washing facilities, so we do politely advise you to bring your own hand sanitizer to reduce any cross contamination.

We will however, welcome you with a smile and ensure our very best attention at all times. We very much look forward to inviting many more couples through our gates over the next few weeks.

Stay safe and keep well!
